POLICE have made a number of arrests following an incident in Hailsham last night (Saturday).
Officers were called to an address in Hawks Town Crescent at 9.25pm (Saturday, 28 March), following a report of threats to kill being made.
One 16-year-old boy suffered minor facial injuries.
A 16-year-old boy and two men aged 18 and 21 were arrested on suspicion of kidnap (common law) and another 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of kidnap (common law) and possession of a class B drug.
They all remain in custody at this time.
Detective Inspector Daniel Dugan said: “We are pursuing multiple lines of enquiry in connection with the incident.
“There will be an increased police presence in the area as well as in the vicinity of Bailee Avenue, Eastbourne whilst the investigation continues.
“I’d like to reassure the public that there is no wider risk to the community.”
