FIRE Crews from across East Sussex have been tackling a fire in which two farm tractors carrying hay were destroyed.
Our dramatic drone footage shows firefighters from Uckfield, Crowborough and Barcombe with off-road firefighting vehicles from Wadhurst, Crowborough and Seaford all attending.
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service was called at 11.49am this morning (12 August) to the field fire in Dern Lane, Waldron.
Local residents have been advised to close windows and doors and members of the public are being asked to avoid the area.
As of 2pm, the incident is being scaled down to two Land Rovers and two fire engines.
With the recent prolonged dry weather, East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service is reminding residents, visitors, and landowners to be more cautious this summer.
Families are being urged to take simple precautions to reduce the chance of fires starting and spreading, by not using barbeques on dry grass or dropping cigarette ends.
