Burst water main leaves Hailsham homes without supply

RESIDENTS in an area of Hailsham are experiencing low water pressure or no water supply following a burst water main in Bayham Road.

Water company representatives have confirmed that engineers are working to repair the damaged main on Bayham Road and restore supplies as quickly as possible.

A spokesperson said: “We’re really sorry to those of you who are experiencing low water pressure or no water at the moment. This has been caused by a burst main which we are trying to fix as quickly as we can. As soon as the repairs have been completed, your water will return to normal.

“Please be rest assured we’re doing everything we can to get you back up and running as soon as possible.”

The disruption is affecting a number of households in the area, although the full extent of the outage has not yet been confirmed.

Hailsham News has contacted South East Water for further information, including how many properties have been affected and when supplies are expected to be fully restored.

Residents experiencing issues are advised to check for updates from the water company and report any ongoing problems directly to South East Water.
