EAST Sussex Fire and Rescue Service is tackling a wildfire at Abbots Wood, near Arlington.
Firefighters were called to the scene at 3.10pm, with eight fire appliances in attendance.
Crews from Hailsham, Eastbourne and Pevensey are involved, alongside 4×4 vehicles from Seaford and Crowborough. Uckfield’s dual-purpose truck and water carrier have also been deployed.
Members of the public are being urged to avoid Abbots Wood and the Robin Post Lane area while the incident is ongoing.
