A MOTORCYCLIST has died following a serious collision with a lorry at the Boship Roundabout near Hailsham this morning (Thursday, July 2).
Emergency services were called to the junction, at Lower Dicker, at around 9.25am following reports of a collision involving a motorcycle and a lorry.
Despite the efforts of emergency responders, a 53-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have confirmed that the man’s next of kin have been informed and are being supported. Officers have also extended their thoughts to his family at this difficult time.
No arrests have been made in connection with the incident.
The A267 (New North Street) remained closed for most of the day while emergency services investigated the scene.
An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision is ongoing.
