HAILSHAM Academy students are celebrating after receiving their A Level and vocational qualification results, with pupils securing places at universities, apprenticeships and in employment.
Year 13 students collected their results today (Thursday), marking the end of their studies at the academy and the start of the next stage of their education and careers.
Among those celebrating is Miriam Graham, who achieved two A*s and an A and has secured a place at the University of Oxford to study Classics and English with Latin or Greek.
Molly Crosbie also achieved top results, gaining three Distinction* grades in her vocational qualifications. She will now go on to study Physical Education with QTS at the University of Brighton.
The academy said students were progressing to a wide variety of destinations, with future careers and studies ranging from journalism and accounting to history and engineering.
Jake Lambert, Head of Sixth Form at Hailsham Academy, said: “Hailsham Academy students achieve fantastic things and we are delighted to see students progressing to a wide range of exciting destinations, including university, apprenticeships and employment.
“With next steps ranging from journalism to accounting and from history to engineering, they will continue to produce brilliant achievements and inspire the next generation of young people here at Hailsham Academy.”
Anna Robinson, Executive Headteacher, said the results were an opportunity to celebrate the students’ achievements.
She said: “Today is a celebration of our students and everything they have accomplished. We are delighted to see them taking their next steps with confidence and ambition, and we are proud of what they have achieved during their time at Hailsham Academy.
“On behalf of everyone at the academy, I would like to congratulate our students on their results and thank our staff and families for the encouragement and support they have provided throughout their educational journey.”
Hailsham Academy has congratulated all of its Year 13 students and wished them success as they move on to university, apprenticeships, further training and employment.
